My teacher inspiration was ironically my mother, who was not only there for unconditional support as I went through things socially but was also there in the classroom for academic support. She use hands on student centered methods to teach not just powerpoint/overhead lectures. Any vocabulary was provided to apply to real life hands on labs or activities. It wasn't just her interactive lessons but also her classroom. I had spent my whole childhood with her going into school early to help set up her classroom with educational thought provoking posters, biofacts and cool gadgets on display and student work hanging on her bulletin board which she first covered in fabric and placed borders around it. Each of her tables were thoughtfully assigned and each table had colors assigned to them which corresponded to their supply buckets an calculators. Her dedication and enthusiasm is what truly inspires me. She comes home most nights with stories and a smile on her face as she grades homework or plans activities for the next day. It is her classrooms atmosphere that inspires me to become a teacher.
